A Light Within His Light

I circled awhile with each of the intelligences,

the nine fathers that control the levels

of spirit-growth.

I revolved

for years with the stars through

each astrological sign.

I disappeared into the kingdom of nearness.

I saw what I have seen, receiving nourishment

as a child lives in the womb.

Personalities are born once,

a mystic many times.

Wearing the body-robe, I've been busy

in the market, weighing and arguing prices.

Sometimes I have torn the robe off

with my own hands and thrown it away.

I've spent long nights in monasteries,

and I have slept with those who claim to believe

nothing on the porches of pagodas,

just traveling through.

When someone feels jealous, I am inside

the hurt and the need to possess.

When anyone is sick, I feel

feverish and dizzy.

I am cloud and rain being released,

and then the meadow as it soaks it in.

I wash the rains of mortality

from the cloth around a dervish.

I am the rose of eternity, not made of

water or fire or the wandering wind,

or even earth. I pay with those.

I am not Shams of Tabriz,

but a light within his light.

If you see me, be careful.

Four principles of spirituality

The First Principle states:

"Whomsoever you encounter is the right one"

(Celia Johnson in Brief Encounter by David Lean)

This means that no one comes into our life by chance. Everyone who is around us, anyone with whom we interact, represents something, whether to teach us something or to help us improve a current situation.

The Second Principle states:

"Whatever happened is the only thing that could have happened"

Nothing, absolutely nothing of that which we experienced could have been any other way. Not even in the least important detail. There is no "If only I had done that differently…, then it would have been different…". No. What happened is the only thing that could have taken place and must have taken place for us to learn our lesson in order to move forward. Every single situation in life which we encounter is absolutely perfect, even when it defies our understanding and our ego.

The Third Principle states:

"Each moment in which something begins is the right moment"

Everything begins at exactly the right moment, neither earlier nor later. When we are ready for it, for that something new in our life, it is there, ready to begin.

The Fourth Principle states:

"What is over, is over"

It is that simple. When something in our life ends, it helps our evolution. That is why, enriched by the recent experience, it is better to let go and move on.

When Engineers go to hell..

An engineer dies and reports to the Pearly Gates.

Saint Peter checks his dossier and, not seeing his name there, accidentally sends him to Hell.

It does not take long before the engineer becomes rather dissatisfied with the level of comfort in Hell.

He soon begins to design and build improvements. Shortly thereafter, Hell has air conditioning, flush toilets and escalators. Needless to say, the engineer is a pretty popular guy.

One day, God calls Satan and says with a sneer:

“So, how are things in Hell?”

Satan replies:

“Hey, things are going great. We’ve got air conditioning, flush toilets, and escalators. And there’s no telling what this engineer is going to come up with next.”

“What!” God exclaims: “You’ve got an engineer? That’s a mistake — he should never have been sent to Hell… send him to me.”

“Not a chance,” Satan replies: “I like having an engineer on the staff, and I’m keeping him!”

God insists:

“Send him back or I’ll sue.”

Satan laughs uproariously and answers:

“Yeah, right. And where are you going to get a lawyer?”

 You're a common rhyme-word now,
 dependent on some other for your emotional force,
 but real life will come.

 As when a baby stops nursing

 and grows interested in solid food.
 As when seeds break open in the ground
 and act differently.

 There is a hidden love-center in human beings

 that you will discover and savor

 and nourish yourself with.

 That will be your food.

 There's a way of going that's like the stars.
 No,
 even freer than they are,

 completely unconditioned, unlocated, unpathed. A journey without a sky!

 You came from Non-existence into being.
 How did that happen?
 Tell me about it!
 You were a little drunk when you arrived,
 so you can't remember exactly?

 I'll give you some secret hints.
 Let your mind go, and be mindful.
 Close your ears, and listen.

 But maybe I shouldn't tell, if you're not ripe.
 You're still in early Spring.

 What are these terms *wakefulness* and *sleep*?
 Don't answer.

This is the Night of Union,

when the stars scatter their rice over us.
The sky is excited!

Venus cannot stop singing the little songs she's making up,
like a bird in the first warm Spring weather.

The North star can't quit looking over at Leo.
Pisces is stirring milky dust from the Ocean floor.

Jupiter rides his horse over to Saturn,
"Old Man, jump up behind me! The juice is coming back!

Think of something happy to shout as we go."

Mars washes his bloody sword, and puts it up, and begins building things.

The Aquarian water jar fills, and the Virgin pours it generously

The Pleiades and Libra and Aries

have no trembling in them anymore.

Scorpio walks out looking for a lover,

and so does Sagittarius!

This is not crooked walking, like the Crab.

This is the Holiday we've been waiting for.

Frivolous lawsuits waste billions of dollars in civil courts, but they show no signs of slowing down, and every year they seem to get more ridiculous. We’ve all heard about the woman who sued McDonald’s (and won!) after she spilled coffee on herself, or the thief who sued a family after injuring himself while trying to break into their house, but those are just the tip of the iceberg. Here are ten of the most outrageous and unusual lawsuits to ever make their way into a courtroom.

10. Man Sues Michael Jordan For Looking Like Him
Everybody wants to be like Mike, except for Allen Heckard of Portland, Oregon. In 2006, Heckard sued Michael Jordan and the Nike corporation for over $800 million after alleging that his uncanny resemblance to the NBA superstar had led to defamation, permanent injury, and emotional pain and suffering. “I’m constantly being accused of looking like Michael,” Heckard said at the time, “and it makes it very uncomfortable for me.” Heckard included Nike founder Phil Knight in the case for his role in promoting Jordan’s public persona, saying that he couldn’t go out in public without people mentioning he looked like Jordan. Heckard, who is only six feet tall, said that people at his gym had even accused him of playing basketball like Michael Jordan.

9. Man Sues Budweiser For False Advertising
In 1991, a man named Richard Overton filed a lawsuit against Anheiser-Busch for false advertising that had led to emotional distress, mental injury, and financial loss. Harris alleged that, unlike the what happens to guys in their ads, when he drank Bud Light the ladies weren’t attracted to him, nor did beautiful women and tropical settings appear out of thin air, as they did in another Budweiser commercial that was airing at the time. To add insult to this grave injury, he also asserted that when he drank beer, he would often wake up hung over. Overton sued for $10,000, but the case was thrown out before ever making it to trial.

8. Man Sues Himself
In 2006, Curtis Gokey filed a lawsuit against the city of Lodi, California when one of their dump trucks accidentally backed into his car. The problem? Gokey, a city employee, was the guy driving the dump truck. Even though he freely admitted the accident had been his fault, Gokey sued the city for $3,600 in damages. After the city denied the claim and asserted that he couldn’t legally sue himself, Gokey filed a new lawsuit, this time in his wife’s name. A city attorney alleged that this too was illegal, but Gokey’s wife went through with suit anyway, and even raised the damages to $4,800, saying, “I’m not as nice as my husband is.”

7. Surfer Sues Over Stolen Wave
One thing all surfers hate is when someone “snakes” a wave that they were in a better position to ride. A California man once took this anger to the courts when he supposedly sued another surfer for “stealing a wave” that he believed was meant for him. The man alleged that he had endured “pain and suffering” as a result of not being able to carve up the surf, and attempted to take the wave thief to court. The case was eventually dismissed when the court stated that there was no way to put a price on the pain and suffering of being denied a chance to ride a monster wave.

6. Student Sues For Right To Smelly Feet
Teunis Tenbrook, a philosophy student at Erasmus University in the Netherlands, sued his school after he was thrown out for having unusually smelly feet. Professors and other students had complained that the smell was overpowering and made it impossible to conduct classes, and Tenbrook was eventually expelled from both the school and its library. He sued, and after a ten-year legal battle, a judge ruled in 2009 that having smelly feet is no excuse to prevent a student from continuing their studies. Upon delivering this verdict, the judge stated: “Our considered opinion is that the professors and other students will just have to hold their noses and bear it.”

5. Russian Astrologer Sues NASA

Marina Bai is a Russian astrologer who sued NASA in July of 2005 for allegedly “disrupting the balance of the universe.” At the time, NASA had just fired the Deep Impact space probe into the comet Tempel 1 in the hope of studying its interior. Bai sued for damages and “moral sufferings,” alleging that the comet and “the natural balance of forces in the universe” would never be the same, and that her astrology business would be adversely affected as a result. Bai’s case was originally thrown out, but was reintroduced after her lawyer was able to show that NASA’s office in the American embassy fell under Russian jurisdiction. She sued for over $300 million, which was roughly the same as the space mission’s total budget, but her case was eventually rejected after a physicist argued that the probe had no real effect on the comet’s trajectory.

4. Man Sues Corporations For Witchcraft
In 2008, a Canadian man brought a $2 billion lawsuit against several corporations after claiming that the companies had repeatedly dabbled in witchcraft, satanic rituals, and brain wave control in an attempt to bolster profits. The man, named Jerry Rose, alleged that companies like Microsoft and Wal-Mart had subjected him to “invasive brain computer interface technology, research, experiments, field studies and surgery.” Rose also named several universities and professors as defendants in the case, saying that they had helped engineer the “brain-drain” technologies that had made the mind control tactics possible. Lawyers from the companies argued that the case was outrageous and deserved to be dismissed on the spot, but the judge in charge of the proceedings agreed to hear it, arguing that all of the charges were capable of being litigated.

3. The Cable Car Nymphomaniac
In San Francisco in 1964, a woman named Gloria Sykes was injured after the cable car she was riding on malfunctioned and careened down a hill. Sykes suffered a black eye and some scratches in the accident, but she filed a $500,000 lawsuit against the city for a much more curious reason: she claimed the accident had triggered a “demonic sex urge” in her. Sykes said the trauma from the accident had led to her developing an uncontrollable nymphomania, and that after it happened she’d had sex with over 100 men, as many as 50 in one week. The case made headlines in the Bay Area when it went to court, and many called it one of the most egregious abuses of the legal system in history. But after Sykes’ attorneys successfully argued that she had developed a bizarre form of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, she was eventually awarded $50,000 in damages.

2. Man Sues God
In 2005, a Romanian prisoner named Pavel Mircea attempted to sue God for fraud and gross negligence. Mircea, who had spent twenty year behind bars for murder, claimed that God had failed to deliver him from evil, as he had been promised at his christening, and that this was tantamount to a breach of contract. Mircea sued for an undisclosed amount, partially to be reimbursed for money he had spent on prayer candles and other religious goods, and directed his case toward the Officials of the Romanian Orthodox Church, whom he considered to be God’s representatives on Earth. The courts eventually rejected the case, with at least one report claiming that it was thrown out because God is not subject to ordinary law.

Lawsuit against Steve Job (Apple) from Jonathan Lee Riches

When it comes to filing unusual lawsuits, few compare to Jonathan Lee Riches, who has filed an enormous amount of them in U.S. District Courts. Known variously as “Johnny Sue-Nami,” “the Litigator Crusader,” and “the Patrick Ewing of Suing,” Riches has been known to try and take anyone and anything to court. Targets of his over 4,000 lawsuits have included George W. Bush, the Somali pirates, NASCAR, NFL quarterback Michael Vick, New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick, Martha Stewart, and Steve Jobs. Riches, who is currently doing time in an Oklahoma City prison, has even attempted to sue historical figures like Plato, Nostradamus, and Che Guevara, as well as inanimate objects like the Eiffel Tower, the Lincoln Memorial, and Plymouth Rock. Arguably his most famous–and certainly his most ironic–lawsuit occurred in May of 2009, when Riches sued the Guinness Book of World Records for naming him “the World’s Most Litigious Man,” claiming that the company had no right to publish his “legal masterpieces.”

Once there was an old and very wise man. Every day he would sit outside a gas station in his rocking chair and wait to greet motorists as they passed through his small town. On this day, his granddaughter knelt down at the foot of his chair and slowly passed the time with him.

As they sat and watched the people come and go, a tall man who surely had to be a tourist -- since they knew everyone in the town -- began looking around as if he were checking out the area for a place to live.

The stranger walked up and asked, "So what kind of town is this that we're in?"

The older gentleman slowly turned to the man and replied, "Well, what kind of town are you from?"

The tourist said, "In the town I'm from everyone is very critical of each other. The neighbours all gossip about everyone, and it's a real negative place to live. I'm sure glad to be leaving. It is not a very cheerful place."

The man in the chair looked at the stranger and said, "You know, that's just how this town is."

An hour or so later a family that was also passing through stopped for gas. The car slowly turned in and rolled to a stop in front of where the older gentleman and his granddaughter were sitting. The mother jumped out with two small children and asked where the restrooms were. The man in the chair pointed to a small, bent-up sign that was barely hanging by one nail on the side of the door.

The father stepped out of the car and also asked the man, "Is this town a pretty good place to live?"

The man in the chair replied, "What about the town you are from? How is it?"

The father looked at him and said,"Well, in the town I'm from everyone is very close and always willing to lend their neighbour a helping hand. There's always a hello and thank you everywhere you go. I really hate to leave. I feel almost like we are leaving family."

The older gentlemen turned to the father and gave him a warm smile. "You know, that's a lot like this small town."

Then the family returned to the car, said their thank yous, waved goodbye and drove away.

After the family was in the distance, the granddaughter looked up at her grandfather and asked, "Grandpa, how come when the first man came into our town you told him it was a terrible place to live and when the family came in to town you told them it was a wonderful place to live?"

The grandfather lovingly looked down at this granddaughter's wondering blue eyes and said, "No matter where you move, you take your own attitude with you and that's what makes it terrible or wonderful."

It's attitude, not aptitude that determines altitude. Happiness is not something we find, it's something we create.

MOSES AND THE SHEPHERD

Moses heard a shepherd on the road, praying,

"God, where are you?

I want to help you, to fix your shoes and comb your hair.

I want to wash your clothes and pick the lice off.

I want to bring you milk

to kiss your little hands and feet

when it's time for you to go to bed.

I want to sweep your room and keep it neat.

God,

my sheep and goats are yours.

All I can say, remembering you,

is 'ayyyy' and 'ahhhhhhhhh.' "

Moses could stand it no longer.

"Who are you talking to?"

"The one who made us, and made the earth and made the sky."

"Don't talk about shoes and socks with God!

And what's this with 'your little hands and feet'?

Such blasphemous familiarity sounds like you're chatting with your uncles.

Only something that grows needs milk.
Only someone with feet needs shoes.
Not God!

Even if you meant God's human representatives,

as when God said, `I was sick, and you did not visit me,'

even then this tone would be foolish and irreverent.

Use appropriate terms. 'Fatima' is a fine name for a woman,
but if you call a man 'Fatima', it's an insult.
Body-and-birth language are right for us on this side of the river,

but not for addressing the origin,

not for Allah."

The shepherd repented and tore his clothes and sighed and wandered out into the desert. A sudden revelation then came to Moses. God's voice:

"You have separated me from one of my own.

Did you come as a Prophet to unite, or to sever?

I have given each being a separate and unique way of seeing
and knowing that knowledge.

What seems wrong to you is right for him.

What is poison to one is honey to someone else.

Purity and impurity, sloth and diligence in worship,

these mean nothing to me.

I am apart from all that.

Ways of worshipping are not to be ranked as better

or worse than one another.

Hindus do Hindu things.

The Dravidian Muslims in India do what they do.

It's all praise, and it's all right.

It's not me that's glorified in acts of worship.

It's the worshipers!
I don't hear the words they say.
I look inside at the humility.

That broken-open lowliness is the reality, not the language!
Forget phraseology.

I want burning, burning.

Be friends with your burning.
Burn up your thinking and your forms of expression!

Moses,

those who pay attention to ways of behaving and speaking are one sort.

Lovers who burn, are another.'

Don't impose a property tax on a burned-out village.
Don't scold the Lover.

The "wrong" way he talks is better than a hundred "right" ways of others.

Inside the Kaaba

it doesn't matter which direction you point your prayer rug!

The ocean diver doesn't need snowshoes!

The love-religion has no code or doctrine.

Only God.

So the ruby has nothing engraved on it!

It doesn't need markings."

God began speaking deeper mysteries to Moses. Vision and words, which cannot be recorded here, poured into and through him. He left himself and came back. He went to eternity and came back here. Many times this happened.

It's foolish of me to try and say this. If I did say it, it would uproot our human intelligences. It would shatter all writing pens.

Moses ran after the shepherd. He followed the bewildered footprints, in one place moving straight like a castle across a chessboard. In another, sideways, like a bishop. Now surging like a wave cresting, now sliding down like a fish, with always his feet making geomancy symbols in the sand, recording his wandering state.

Moses finally caught up with him.

"I was wrong.

God has revealed to me that there are no rules for worship.

Say whatever and however your loving tells you to.
Your sweet blasphemy is the truest devotion.
Through you a whole world is freed.

Loosen your tongue and don't worry what comes out.

It's all the light of the spirit."

The shepherd replied,

"Moses, Moses,

I've gone beyond even that.

You applied the whip and my horse shied and jumped out of itself.
The divine nature and my human nature came together.

Bless your scolding hand and your arm.

I can't say what's happened.

What I'm saying now is not my real condition.

It can't be said."

The shepherd grew quiet.

When you look in a mirror, you see yourself, not the state of the mirror.

The flute player puts breath into a flute, and who makes the music?

Not the flute.

The flute player!

Whenever you speak praise or thanksgiving to God,
it's always like this dear shepherd's simplicity.

When you eventually see through the veils to how things really are,

you will keep saying again and again,

"This is certainly not like we thought it was!"

The Prophets have wondered to themselves,

"How long should we keep pounding this cold iron?

How long do we have to whisper into an empty cage?"

Every motion of created beings comes from the creator.

The first soul pushes, and your second soul responds.

So don't be timid.

Load the ship and set out.

No one knows for certain

whether the vessel will sink

or reach the harbor

Just don't be one of those merchants

who won't risk the ocean!

This is much more important

than losing or making money!

This is your connection to God.

Think of the fear and the hope

that you have about your livelihood.

They make you go to work diligently every day.

Now consider what the prophets have done.

Abraham wore fire for an anklet.

Moses spoke to the sea.

David moulded iron.

Solomon rode the wind.

Work in the invisible world

at least as hard as you do in the visible.

Be companions with the prophets

even though no one here

will know that you are,

not even the helpers of the Qutb, the abdals.

You can't imagine what profit will come!

When one of those generous ones

invites you into the fire, go quickly!

Don't say, "But will it burn me? Will it hurt?"

You created the earth and sky, human and jinn,

Are you some master architect, a builder?

The name All Compassionate--doesn't that come from You?

Didn't You call Yourself the pardoner of sins?

Pardon my sins then. Are You a liar?

Would it cost You your reputation to forgive me?

Even the king would pardon me if he heard my case.

I don't think You'd lose anything from Your treasury.

Why don't you forgive me? Are you lacking something?

If humans are imperfect, is that really good for your reputation?

You reside and move in every heart.

You take all these lives and then you return them.

Are you a caravan driver who picks up and delivers?

You know I am the servant, You are the King.

You speak through me as I repeat Your name.

You are in my soul as a cherished guest--

You are my heart's beloved.

Do you think You're a stranger?

You make me the guide, but You speak through my mouth;

Though the following are roadsigns to the Himalaya Mountains, yet they remind us of our spiritual journey …

To expect an overnight spiritual awakening of some kind simply to fix what is in our unresolved heart
is only to short lived our faith in what we are embarking.

* * *

When we are rash in expecting spiritual awakening as something that can be created by the self,

we can only expect an ego crash.

* * *

Spiritual journey is not some kind of escapism but rather a gradual path of understanding
that leads to awakening. Enjoy the ride rather than thinking of the end.

* * *

Your journey defines your destination. Destination is not a place but rather an end.

Hence what you get at the end is what you have developed in the journey.

* * *

Forget about desiring anything or resisting anything when you step into the spiritual path.
It is not about getting anything or anywhere but on the contrary, drop everything, including the self.

* * *

Consistently check your mental attitude as that is where fabrications are.
If you don’t, its proliferation will blinds you, deluding you into spiritual ego.

* * *

We are all too familiar with ego crash whenever our spiritual expectation is not met -
yet strangely, we repeat it again as if we do not have it enough!

* * *

When you are not awake to your thoughts, you are dreaming it,
making it real and hence, will surely be frightened by it.

* * *

And so in the end, wakefulness is necessary, for without it
suffering becomes a reality, albeit a dream.

If anyone has eloquence, a listener draws it out:

the teacher's enthusiasm and energy

are derived from the child he teaches.

When the harpist who plays twenty-four musical modes

finds no ear to listen, his harp becomes a burden:

no song comes to mind, his ten fingers will not function.

If there were no ears to receive the message from the Unseen,

no prophet would have brought a revelation from Heaven.

And if there were no eyes to see the works of God,

neither would the sky have revolved,

nor would the earth have smiled with fertile greenness.

The declaration lawlâka** means this,

that the whole business of creation

is for the sake of the perceiving eye

and the one who sees.

**"But for you," referring to the Holy Tradition (hadith qudsi):
"But for you (O Muhammad) I would not have created the worlds."

Dr.Tariq Al Swaidan discovered some verses in the Holy Qur'an that mention one thing is equal to another, i.e. men are equal to women. Although this makes sense grammatically, the astonishing fact is that the number of times the word man appears in theHoly Qur'an is 24 and number of times the word woman appears is also 24, therefore not only is this phrase correct in the grammatical sense but also true mathematically,

No Escaping But Surrender

Cornered by a fierce and blood-thirsty lion

what is there to do but surrender?

This Beloved, like the sun, neither sleeps nor eats:

He makes souls sleepless and hungry,

saying,

"Come, be Me, or one with Me in nature,

so when I unveil Myself, you may behold My Face.

And if you had not beheld it,

how would you have become so distraught?

You were earth, and now

you long to be quickened with spiritual life."

Already the Beloved has bestowed gifts

from that world of spacelessness,

otherwise why would your spiritual eye keep gazing there?

Kisah Air Masin & Air Tawar

"Dan Dialah yang membiarkan dua laut mengalir (berdampingan) ; yang ini tawar lagi segar dan yang lain masin lagi pahit; dan Dia jadikan antara keduanya dinding dan batas yang menghalangi." (Q.S Al Furqan:53)

Jika Anda termasuk orang yang gemar menonton rancangan TV `Discovery ' pasti kenal Mr.Jacques Yves Costeau , ia seorang ahli oceanografer dan ahli selam terkemuka dari Perancis. Orang tua yang berambut putih ini sepanjang hidupnya menyelam ke perbagai dasar samudera di seantero dunia dan membuat filem dokumentari tentang keindahan alam dasar laut untuk ditonton di seluruh dunia.

Pada suatu hari ketika sedang melakukan eksplorasi di bawah laut, tiba-tiba ia menemui beberapa kumpulan mata air tawar-segar yang sangat sedap rasanya kerana tidak bercampur/tidak melebur dengan air laut yang masin di sekelilingnya, seolah-olah ada dinding atau membran yang membatasi keduanya.

Fenomena ganjil itu memeningkan Mr. Costeau dan mendorongnya untuk mencari penyebab terpisahnya air tawar dari air masin di tengah-tengah lautan. Ia mulai berfikir, jangan-jangan itu hanya halusinansi atau khalayan sewaktu menyelam. Waktu pun terus berlalu setelah kejadian tersebut, namun ia tak kunjung mendapatkan jawapan yang memuaskan tentang fenomena ganjil tersebut.

Sampai pada suatu hari ia bertemu dengan seorang profesor muslim, kemudian ia pun menceritakan fenomena ganjil itu. Profesor itu teringat pada ayat Al Quran tentang bertemunya dua lautan ( surat Ar-Rahman ayat 19-20) yang sering diidentikkan dengan Terusan Suez . Ayat itu berbunyi "Marajal bahraini yaltaqiyaan, bainahumaa barzakhun laa yabghiyaan..." Artinya: "Dia biarkan dua lautan bertemu, di antara keduanya ada batas yang tidak boleh ditembus." Kemudian dibacakan surat Al Furqan ayat 53 di atas.

Selain itu, dalam beberapa kitab tafsir, ayat tentang bertemunya dua lautan tapi tak bercampur airnya diertikan sebagai lokasi muara sungai, di mana terjadi pertemuan antara air tawar dari sungai dan air masin dari laut. Namun tafsir itu tidak menjelaskan ayat berikutnya dari surat Ar-Rahman ayat 22 yang berbunyi "Yakhruju minhuma lu ' lu`u wal marjaan" ertinya "Keluar dari keduanya mutiara dan marjan." Padahal di muara sungai tidak ditemukan mutiara."

Terpesonalah Mr. Costeau mendengar ayat-ayat Al Qur ' an itu, melebihi kekagumannya melihat keajaiban pemandangan yang pernah dilihatnya di lautan yang dalam. Al Qur ' an ini mustahil disusun oleh Muhammad yang hidup di abad ke tujuh, suatu zaman saat belum ada peralatan selam yang canggih untuk mencapai lokasi yang jauh terpencil di kedalaman samudera. Benar-benar suatu mukjizat, berita tentang fenomena ganjil 14 abad yang silam akhirnya terbukti pada abad 20. Mr. Costeau pun berkata bahawa Al Qur ' an memang sesungguhnya kitab suci yang berisi firman Allah, yang seluruh kandungannyamutlak benar. Dengan seketika dia pun memeluk Islam.

Allahu Akbar...! Mr. Costeau mendapat hidayah melalui fenomena teknologi kelautan. Maha Benar Allah yang Maha Agung. Shadaqallahu Al `Azhim.Rasulullah s.a.w. bersabda: "Sesungguhnya hati manusia akan berkarat sebagaimana besi yang dikaratkan oleh air." Bila seorang bertanya, "Apakah caranya untuk menjadikan hati-hati ini bersih kembali?" Rasulullah s.a.w. bersabda, "Selalulah ingat mati dan membaca Al Quran."

Jika anda seorang penyelam, maka anda harus mengunjungi Cenote Angelita , Mexico . Disana ada sebuah gua. Jika anda menyelam sampai kedalaman 30 meter, airnya air segar (tawar), namun jika anda menyelam sampai kedalaman lebih dari 60 meter, airnya menjadi air asin, lalu anda dapat melihat sebuah "sungai" di dasarnya, lengkap dengan pohon dan daun daunan.

Namun pengkaji mengatakan, itu bukanlah sungai biasa, itu adalah lapisan hidrogen sulfida, namun nampak seperti sungai... luar biasa bukan? Lihatlah betapa hebatnya ciptaan Allah s.w.t.

Orang yang mahal harga diri adalah orang yang rendah hati serta miskin di hatinya, rendah nada suaranya bila berbicara, tidak banyak bicara (yang bukan-bukan) , tidak banyak kerenah, kuat berfikir, berani menghadapi kenyataan, tenang, kuat berusaha dan apabila sulit hatinya sabar.

If I were to say

the path is pretty simple

you would not have believed me.

If I were to say

the path is indeed difficult

you would not have understood me too.

For who knows what is your level

of understanding

except my sheer ignorance in

thinking that I know you better

than you know yourself.

Who am I to say what is good for you

save you know for yourself

even if you are not yet in the position

of knowing for yourself

there is no absolute certainty

that I can tell you what is appropriate for you.

Hence it is indeed a mission impossible

to come to a right teaching

for an appropriate mind

that can bring one directly to freedom

as a pin in the haystack

searching but not finding

indeed sorrowful the path of deliverance it can be

and yet nothing is loss

as where there is willingness

and deep conviction

the master will come

when the student is ready

thus be open to receiving

what is already in hand

as anything can be a learning tool

so long as you are ready to look at it

from a beginner’s mind

freed from judgments and reservations.

There was a billionaire who was bothered by severe eye pain. He consulted so many physicians and was getting his treatment done. He did not stop consulting galaxy of medical experts; he consumed heavy loads of drugs and underwent hundreds of injections.

But the ache persisted with great vigour than before. At last a medicine man who has supposed to be an expert in treating such patients was called for by the billionaire. The medicine man understood his problem and said that for sometime he should concentrate only on green colours and not to fall his eyes on any other colours.

The billionaire got together a group of painters and purchased barrels of green color and directed that every object his eye was likely to fall to be painted in green colour just as the medicine man had directed.

When the medicine man came to visit him after few days, the billionaire's servants ran with buckets of green paints and poured on him since he was in red dress, lest their master not see any other colour and his eye ache would come back.

The medicine man laughed said "If only you had purchased a pair of green spectacles, worth just a few dollars, you could have saved these walls and trees and pots and all other articles and also could have saved a large share of his fortune. You cannot paint the world green."

Let us change our vision and the world will appear accordingly. It is foolish to shape the world, let us shape ourselves first.

What Words can do to Me, and Others (Posted on 26 October 2010)

What I give to the world
I give either with ignorance or wisdom
am I aware?

with ignorance the world is led astray
if it is wisdom
it can only be a symbol of symbol
twice removed from reality
… so where is there truth except meanings?

as much as I would like
to accurately convey my understanding
words will always inadequately
portray my wishes

no matter how best I try
words will remain as words
and yet behind those words
are essence of what I intend

thus read between the lines
and reflect deeply what has been conveyed
but then again
do you have a choice
or can that be ever possible?

considering that you can only know
what you know
and do not know
what you do not know

as words enter your sight
your ideas
will read according to what it perceives
how then could it be possible
that you are able
to understand fully what I am trying to say?

it is a mission impossible
to point to Truth
as Truth is not to be spoken
but only to be realized
but yet, but yet
if Truth is not conveyed
how then could one realize there is such journey?

and here I am back to ground zero
asking myself
to speak or not to speak
as either is a dilemma

can I take charge of what is out there
except what is in here?
Or that what is out there
is merely a reflection of what is in here?

that nothing needs to be done or look forward for
except reminding myself over again that
in accepting, surrendering and trusting
that what is entitled
will come in due time without
“I” getting in the way.
